East Mountain Retreat I guess the title says it all. I happen to love Taos and other beautiful places here; but the East Mountains is home. I can drive up to the Crest look down on the city and just lose time. I've only had this sensation in one other place and it was a condo overlooking the ocean in Miami.
I love just getting away from city life and slowing down. It definitely makes a difference after a crazy hectic day. Go up to the top of the lookout and wash away the city craziness. I have lived in other parts of New Mexico, and always find my way back to the East Mountains. This is definitely the life. Maybe until I get back to Florida, still miss the water and beaches. I guess that will never be replaced by anything.
